Woolwich: A mother is heartbroken after her 14-year-old son was murdered. Kelyan Bokassa was stabbed on a bus, and his mom believes he was groomed by gangs. She said he ran away from care and ended up living on the streets.

Mary Bokassa shared that Kelyan had been missing for a year. When he returned home, he was sick and underweight. She noticed he had tattoos and seemed to be involved with drugs. It was clear he had gone through some tough times.

She described him as a kind kid who loved football. Losing him feels unreal. Online, people are paying tribute to Kelyan, sharing messages and pictures in his memory.

He had briefly attended St Columba’s Catholic Boys School in 2022. The school expressed sadness over his death and offered support to students affected by this tragedy.

His murder has sparked discussions online, especially since another teenager was killed in the same area last year. The police are investigating but haven’t found any links between the two cases yet.

Just a day before Kelyan’s death, there was another stabbing nearby, but it’s not connected. Last year, London saw ten teenagers killed, mostly from stabbings, which is a drop from previous years.

Metropolitan Police Deputy Commander Louise Sargent called the attack a “horrendous crime.” She expressed her condolences to Kelyan’s family and reassured the community that they are working hard to find those responsible.
