A tragic incident in Essex leaves a mother dead and her daughter injured after being struck by a vehicle while walking
Westcliff: It’s such a heartbreaking situation. A mother lost her life after she and her daughter were hit by a car while they were just walking. It happened in the late afternoon, around 5:30 PM, and the car involved was a black Suzuki Splash.
The poor woman, who was 52, was rushed to the hospital, but sadly, they couldn’t save her. Her 23-year-old daughter was also hurt, but thankfully, her injuries aren’t life-threatening.
The driver, a 31-year-old woman, was arrested right at the scene. She’s facing some serious charges, including causing death by dangerous driving and being unfit to drive, possibly due to alcohol or drugs. Right now, she’s still in custody while the police investigate.
Authorities are asking anyone who might have dashcam footage or any information about the incident to come forward. It’s a tough time for the family, and any help could be crucial.
