A mother and her four daughters were discovered dead in a hotel, with police suspecting the woman’s son may be involved in the tragedy
The incident reportedly started with a heated argument on New Year’s Eve. Some of the victims had visible injuries, which adds to the horror of the situation.
The victims were identified as Asma and her daughters: Alia, nine, Aksa, 16, Rahmeen, 18, and Alshia, 19. A 24-year-old man named Arshad was arrested at the scene, while his father, Badar, is still being sought by the police.
After the incident, Arshad allegedly recorded a video claiming he killed his family out of fear for their safety. He mentioned that neighbors were interested in their property and even suggested they might sell his sisters.
A forensic team has been working at the Hotel Sharanjit, collecting DNA samples and securing the crime scene. Reports indicate that the victims may have been given alcohol before their deaths.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Raveena Tyagi confirmed that Arshad is the main suspect in this horrific case. Local police quickly apprehended him at the hotel.
Joint Commissioner of Police Babloo Kumar stated that they are investigating the situation thoroughly, including interviewing hotel staff. Some victims showed signs of injury, and they are awaiting post-mortem results to gather more information.
