Plakias: A heartbreaking incident occurred when a pregnant teacher fell 164ft while hiking in Greece. Clara Thomann, just 33, lost her balance and fell into a gorge on December 23.

Her family is absolutely devastated. They’ve been sharing tributes online, remembering her as a loving mum-to-be. Clara was six months pregnant and a dedicated science teacher at Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta.

First responders and construction workers who witnessed the fall rushed to help her. They got her to the hospital quickly, and she was alive and conscious at first. Sadly, she passed away a few days later due to severe injuries.

Clara suffered multiple fractures, including to her chest and skull, which left her brain dead. It’s just so tragic, and her family is heartbroken over this loss.
