A UK court has confirmed Liam Payne’s cause of death as polytrauma following a tragic incident in Argentina
Sadly, Liam died after falling from a third-floor balcony at the Casa Sur Hotel in Argentina. It’s a tough situation, and five people are facing charges related to his death. The hotel manager, a receptionist, and a friend of Liam’s have been charged with manslaughter, according to a statement from Argentina’s National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office.
The individuals charged include hotel manager Gilda Martin, receptionist Esteban Grassi, and Liam’s friend Roger Nores. Additionally, two other hotel staff members have been charged for allegedly supplying cocaine.
His funeral took place in November, and it was attended by his former bandmates from One Direction, including Harry Styles and Zayn Malik, along with family and friends.
The inquest into Liam’s death has been put on hold until a pre-inquest review scheduled for November 6. The coroner confirmed that his medical cause of death was multiple traumatic injuries.
During the hearing, they also mentioned that Liam was identified with help from the funeral directors in Buckinghamshire. The Senior Coroner, Crispin Butler, noted that while investigations are ongoing in Argentina, it might take some time to gather all the necessary information.
After One Direction went on hiatus, Liam had been making waves with his solo career, releasing his debut album LP1 in December 2019, which featured hits like “Strip That Down” and “For You” with Rita Ora.
