Plans for an 18m swimming pool in Warrington aim to meet local demand for lessons
Warrington: Exciting news is brewing in Warrington! A new swimming pool might be on the horizon if the plans get the green light. The proposed site is at Causeway Business Park, which is already home to various businesses.
Time to Swim has put forward plans for an 18-meter pool, complete with changing rooms and viewing areas for visitors. It sounds like a great spot for families!
The layout will mostly be on the ground floor, with a little mezzanine for parents to watch their kids swim. They’ve noticed a real need for swimming lessons in the area, especially since there aren’t enough facilities available.
The idea is to cater to kids after school, with hours from 4 PM to 8 PM. This timing should help avoid clashes with the usual 9-5 crowd, making parking easier for parents.
Plus, the business park is pretty quiet, so traffic won’t be a hassle. As things get rolling, they plan to offer lane swimming and classes for local schools, which sounds fantastic!
Initially, they’ll focus on weekday sessions, but they hope to expand to weekends once they’re up and running. If all goes well, they’ll hire two full-time staff and twelve part-timers. Exciting times ahead!
