Nicki Minaj is being sued for assault by a former employee from her tour
Los Angeles: So, it looks like Nicki Minaj is in some hot water. A former tour employee, Brandon Garrett, has filed a lawsuit against her for assault and battery. He claims she hit him multiple times while he was working as her day-to-day manager on the Pink Friday 2 tour.
The incident reportedly went down backstage at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit after one of her concerts. Garrett says he was just doing his job when things got out of hand. He alleges that Nicki confronted him about another employee picking up her prescriptions, and it escalated from there.
According to the lawsuit, she got really upset and started yelling at him, saying some pretty intense stuff. She even allegedly threatened him, saying he was a “dead man walking.” Yikes! That’s some serious drama.
Things took a turn when she supposedly struck him on the face, causing his hat to fly off. He also claims she hit his wrist, leaving it in pain. After the altercation, Garrett says he was so shaken up that he locked himself in a bathroom for hours.
He ended up flying to Chicago but was so scared he called the police for an escort back to his hotel. He stayed there for a few days, feeling traumatized, before heading back to Detroit to file a police report. This whole situation sounds wild, and it’s definitely not what you expect from a tour with a superstar.
