Residents near Northwood Farm raise concerns over a proposal to build garden sheds, citing potential noise and traffic disruptions in the area.
The council sent Jim an order, causing him to lose income he had since 2012. So, he started a new business in Bewdley. Now, some folks don’t like the shed idea, and eight people said they object to it.
They worry about the noise, fearing it could ruin peace and quiet. Big trucks might deliver wood there, and Northwood Lane is tiny and narrow, potentially causing problems for traffic. One person doesn’t want an industrial unit in a residential area.
Another person worries about traffic blocking their drive. Caravan park visitors are also concerned, as they go there for relaxation and don’t want hammering and saws. People want to escape noise like that, and the lane cannot handle more cars.
The building is made of strong concrete and has metal sheeting on top. This should stop the noise escaping. They won’t use noisy tools anyway, as sheds get put together with staples. There’s no hammering, they say.
The building can only hold one shed at a time, and materials will arrive every two weeks. They will load and unload inside, and work times are 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. They won’t work Sundays or holidays, and it’s a small business, they insist.
This business replaces the dog breeding. The building and access already exist, so it’s not a bad thing for the area. The plan shouldn’t cause any harm, as they state it plainly in their application.
