The parents of Marcus Meade, shot by police, seek clarity and justice for their son
The whole thing was caught on a Ring doorbell camera, showing the chaos that lasted over five hours. Police were called to his home on Fownhope Close after reports of a man with a knife.
Sadly, Marcus was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot by armed officers around 8 PM. He was alone in the house, and now the police watchdog is investigating what happened.
His parents, Anthony and Deborah, are heartbroken and want answers. They only found out about Marcus’s death through social media, which is just devastating.
Deborah expressed her pain, saying she needs to know why this happened to her son. Anthony added that Christmas will never be the same for them again after such a horrific event.

Marcus was known in the community for his bravery, having received an award for helping to tackle a murderer back in 2003.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct is looking into the incident, assuring the family that they will conduct a thorough investigation. They’re reviewing police footage and assessing the actions taken during the incident.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police stated that they can’t comment further while the investigation is ongoing but will provide updates when possible.
