An 80-year-old man is in custody following the death of another pensioner in Aylesbury
Aylesbury: An 80-year-old man has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder. This follows the tragic death of another pensioner at a flat.
Emergency services were called to Silverdale Close around 4:20 PM on Friday. They found a man in his 70s with serious injuries, but sadly, he died at the scene.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that the two men knew each other, prompting a murder investigation. The victim’s family has been notified and is receiving support from specially trained officers.
Detective Inspector Nick Hind mentioned that they are conducting extensive inquiries and will be on-site for a while. He reassured the public that there’s no wider risk to the community.
