Charmouth: So, there’s this 76-year-old guy named Jim Buttress who had quite the scare recently. He was at Seadown Holiday Park with his wife and their dog, Jack, when things took a wild turn.

While tossing a frisbee for Jack, Jim ended up falling into the River Char. It was deep and cold, and he got swept away pretty quickly. Talk about a shocker!

Luckily, some folks nearby noticed something was off. An 80-year-old named Peter Weait and his friends jumped into action. They were trying to figure out where Jack belonged when the clever pup led them straight to Jim.

Jim was stuck in the river, and he couldn’t believe how cold it was. He was shouting for help, and after what felt like ages, someone finally came to his rescue with a ladder. Can you imagine the relief?

Once he was safe and warm, Jim learned about Jack’s heroic efforts. He couldn’t stop praising his dog, saying how proud he was. It’s amazing how loyal dogs can be, right?

Jim and Jack are inseparable, and it’s no wonder. Jack even rides around on Jim’s mobility scooter, which is decked out with astroturf to keep him from slipping off. What a duo!
