Residents voice worries over extended pub hours, but police back down on objections
Farsley: So, there’s this pub called Number Thirty Three that wants to stay open later on weekends. They’re looking to serve drinks until 1:30 AM and close at 2 AM. Right now, they shut down at midnight.
The local council is set to decide on this request soon. A bunch of residents from a nearby sheltered housing complex have signed a petition against it. They’re worried about crime, safety, and noise.
Interestingly, the police had some concerns too but have since pulled back their objections after the pub agreed to some safety measures. These include checking IDs and making sure music isn’t too loud after 11 PM.
