An elderly man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another man was found injured and later died in Aylesbury
Aylesbury: So, here’s the scoop. An 80-year-old guy got arrested for murder after another man, who was in his seventies, was found hurt in a flat. Sadly, the older man didn’t make it.
This all went down yesterday afternoon at around 4:20 PM in a block of flats on Silverdale Close. The police showed up and, unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead right there.
The Thames Valley Police took the 80-year-old into custody, and he’s still being held while they figure things out. The good news is they’re not looking for anyone else related to this case.
It seems like the two men knew each other, which makes this whole situation even more tragic. Detective Inspector Nick Hind, who’s leading the investigation, expressed his condolences to the victim’s family.
He reassured the community that they’ve made an arrest and there’s no wider threat to anyone else. The police are still doing their homework on this case, and they’ll keep a scene up for a while.
