Authorities are looking into connections after shots were fired and a house was targeted by arsonists in Stechford, raising community concerns
Stechford: So, there’s been some pretty alarming stuff happening lately. Police are digging into a possible connection between a shooting and an arson attack at a house in Stechford. The fire kicked off in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Before that, a car was set on fire on Albert Road just before 10 PM on December 29. And get this, shots were fired at a property on the same road back on December 7. Thankfully, no one got hurt in any of these incidents.
West Midlands Police are on it, trying to figure out if these arson cases and the shooting are linked. They’re also planning to have more officers around to keep the community feeling safe and are asking anyone who saw anything to come forward.
A police spokesperson mentioned they’re looking into two arson attacks on Albert Road recently. They were called out after the car fire and then again when someone tried to set a house on fire. Luckily, the fire was put out before it could do much damage.
One eyewitness said the house that caught fire is the same one where the shooting happened. They described the scene with fire tape around the property and shattered windows everywhere. It sounds pretty chaotic.
The police are reviewing CCTV footage and are really keen to get to the bottom of this. They know it’s worrying for the community and want to reassure everyone that they’re on the case. If anyone has info, they should reach out to the police.
