Police Investigate Missing Teenager in Edinburgh, Seeking Public Help

Edinburgh: Police are looking for a 14-year-old boy named Safdar Hanif, who has gone missing from the Swanston area. He was last spotted in Tryst Park around 8:20 PM last night. His family got worried when he didn’t come home.

Safdar is of Asian descent, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a navy blue Nike jacket and green and grey Nike tracksuit.

Sergeant Louise Gordon from the Wester Hailes Police Station is asking anyone who might have seen Safdar or knows where he is to reach out to the police. They’re really concerned since neither the police nor his family have been able to get in touch with him.

They’re checking CCTV footage and working with local taxi, bus, and train companies to track him down. It’s possible he’s with friends, but the fact that he hasn’t contacted anyone is worrying. He may look older, but he’s just 14, and both the police and his family want him back home safe.
