Perth: Police are on the hunt for a missing man named John McNeil. They’ve been talking to lots of drivers and pedestrians to gather clues about his whereabouts.

John, who’s 52, was last seen about a week ago. Detectives have been focusing their efforts around Stanley Crescent, Crieff Road, and Viewfield Place. They were out there on Friday evening, hoping someone might remember something.

The last confirmed sighting of John was on Stanley Crescent at around 9:10 PM on December 27. He’s described as white, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with short grey hair.

When he disappeared, he was wearing a navy work-style jacket, navy trousers, a light blue shirt, a navy tie, and black shoes. He might also have had a dark hat and a rucksack with him.

Inspector Duncan mentioned that they’re trying to jog people’s memories by revisiting the area at the same time John went missing. They’ve even released CCTV images of him from the Perth railway station to help with the search.

Search teams have been scouring places like North Inch and Moncreiffe Island, looking for any sign of him. Inspector Duncan is urging anyone who might have seen John since December 27 to reach out. If you have any info, you can call 101 and mention incident number 1118 from December 29, 2024.
