Police Scotland is looking for 19 people linked to a major disturbance before the Scottish League Cup final in Glasgow
It all kicked off before the Celtic vs. Rangers match at Hampden Park. Fans were out in droves, and things got a bit wild. You could see groups of fans, some in Santa hats, charging down Argyle Street, lighting flares, and just causing a scene.
The police are asking anyone who might recognize the people in the photos to reach out. They also want to hear from anyone who saw what went down that day. It was a bit of a mess, with fans walking through the city center, escorted by police, but then things took a turn.
Suddenly, there was a rush, and people were screaming and running for cover. One fan even took a tumble while others rushed past him. It was a bit chaotic, to say the least. A flare went off near a shop, and you could see the police trying to keep things under control.
A shopper mentioned they had to duck into a store to stay safe. There was also some footage showing a guy getting punched while trying to get into a pub. It was just one thing after another.
During all this, a police officer got hurt, and a 26-year-old man ended up in the hospital after a serious assault. The police had to step up their game, using stop and search powers to keep things in check.
Later on, flares were even set off during the match itself, which Celtic won in a nail-biting penalty shootout. First Minister John Swinney spoke out against the behavior of a few fans, calling it completely unacceptable and saying it scared a lot of people just trying to enjoy their day.
