Authorities are urging anyone who assisted a distressed woman in Liverpool to come forward with information
Liverpool: Detectives are on the lookout for anyone who was around when a woman needed help in the city centre. They really want to hear from you.
Police have shared some CCTV images of people they think could provide valuable info for their investigation. A man has been charged with rape after the woman was found upset on Fleet Street early on a Sunday morning.
It was around 3:30 AM when she was spotted sitting down, and a group of good Samaritans went over to help her. Now, the police are asking anyone who was nearby to step up and share what they know.
The woman is currently getting support from specialized officers after a report of a sexual assault later that day. The police are keen to talk to the people in the CCTV images, emphasizing that they’re not in trouble and haven’t done anything wrong.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Parry mentioned that they hope these individuals can help clarify what happened that night. They understand the image quality isn’t great, but they believe those involved might recognize themselves if they recall the incident.
If you have any information, you can reach out to @MerPolCC on Twitter or contact the Merseyside Police on Facebook. You can also call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously. Remember, if you or someone you know has been affected by sexual violence, there’s support available through local services.
