Authorities confirm the recovery of an elderly woman’s body from a canal in Brighouse, prompting an ongoing investigation.
Brighouse: A tragic incident unfolded today when an elderly woman’s body was found in a canal. Emergency services were called to Atlas Mill Road just after 9 AM after someone spotted the body.
When the responders arrived, they quickly located the woman, who was in her 70s. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene, and the police have started an investigation.
DI Jenny Haigh from Calderdale CID mentioned that they are looking into the circumstances surrounding this sad discovery. They’ve identified the woman and informed her family about the situation.
