Mike Edgar and Kathy Clugston have new radio shows. Radio Ulster will announce changes soon. Mike will host a Saturday night show called The Late Show, and Kathy will present the Sunday Club show.

John Bennett hosted Sunday Club for 44 years as the show’s “President” until his death. Ralph McLean temporarily hosted both shows during spring 2024. The new hosts are excited about their roles.

Kathy feels Sunday Club is “very special” and will honor John Bennett’s legacy. She’ll play music from the last 100 years, including jazz, blues, and Broadway hits so viewers can relax and find new music.

Mike Edgar is returning to BBC for The Late Show after heading BBC NI entertainment. He said he is thrilled to return and hopes to share enjoyable music and chat, noting that his career began at BBC Radio Ulster.

The BBC plans programming changes at Radio Ulster and will also change some presenters. Some popular BBC hosts left in the last year, including Anne Marie McAleese, who left “Your Place and Mine” in December.

Lynette Fay left BBC NI in September, having hosted her own Radio Ulster show since 2019 and stating it was time to “move on.” Linda McAuley left “On Your Behalf” last January after helping listeners with consumer issues for 30 years.
