Salisbury: Starting January 20 at 7 PM, New Canal and High Street will be closed until January 31 at 11:59 PM. This closure is for drainage investigations and related work. It’s a bit of a hassle since it includes emergency services too.

The closure will happen every day from 7 PM to midnight. So, if you’re planning to head out, keep that in mind!

There’s a diversion route set up. You can go via Bridge Street, then follow the signs through Fisherton Street, South Western Road, and so on. It’s a bit of a trek, but it should get you around the closed areas.

According to Wiltshire Council, they expect the work to take the full time stated, but it all depends on the weather. Fingers crossed for good weather!

They also mentioned that they’ll try to keep access open for residents and businesses, but expect some delays. The whole order could last up to 18 months, so it’s something to keep an eye on.

Salisbury Reds and All the Sevens have been reached out to for comments on how this will impact their services. Stay tuned for updates!
