The Romsey and Waterside Lions have donated £500 to Baby Necessities to help replace faulty computers crucial for their operations
Romsey: The Romsey and Waterside Lions recently stepped up to help Baby Necessities, a local charity that fights child poverty. They found out that the charity’s computers were acting up, which is a big deal for their work.
One computer was completely out of commission, and the other kept shutting down unexpectedly. Not cool, right?
So, the Lions decided to pitch in with a £500 donation to buy new computers quickly. It was a much-needed boost!
Lions treasurer, Sandra Trowbridge, handed over the donation to Hayleigh Jarvis from Baby Necessities. It’s great to see community support like this.
Baby Necessities collects gently used items, cleans them up, and checks for safety before giving them to families with kids under five. They really help those who are struggling to make ends meet.
In just 2024, they’ve already helped over 1,000 families. That’s impressive!
Thanks to the Lions’ donation, Baby Necessities can keep running smoothly without the hassle of broken computers. It’s a win-win for everyone involved!
