GMB’s Ross King shares his fears as wildfires force evacuations in Los Angeles
Los Angeles: Ross King, the entertainment correspondent, is feeling pretty shaken up. He’s facing the possibility of having to evacuate his home because of those wildfires that are raging nearby.
Just recently, residents in Hollywood Hills, including Ross, got hit with a mandatory evacuation order. It’s been a tough time as the wildfires keep spreading through the area.
During a video chat with Good Morning Britain, Ross shared how surreal it feels to pack up his car. He said, “We’re under evacuation orders at the moment. It’s such a weird feeling when you’re getting everything ready.”
He painted a pretty emotional picture of what he’s going through. Ross mentioned going around his house, taking photos, and thinking, “This might be the last time I see my home.” It’s heartbreaking, especially knowing so many homes have already been lost.
He also talked about friends who have lost their homes, saying, “I’ve got friends in Malibu who lost their house on a beach.” It’s just a tough situation for everyone involved.
At 62, Ross expressed his shock at the scale of the disaster, saying he’s never seen anything like it in his 25 years in LA. He’s been watching the firefighters do an incredible job trying to control the flames.
Luckily, the winds have been calm, which has helped helicopters drop water on the fire. But Ross made it clear that the situation is still really scary.
The wildfires have affected many residents, including some well-known celebrities. Reports say that stars like Billy Crystal and Paris Hilton have lost their homes too.
Actor James Woods even got emotional during a CNN interview, breaking down as he talked about losing his property in Pacific Palisades.
