Glasgow: Police are gearing up for trouble as Celtic and Rangers fans prepare for their big match at Ibrox. Last month, things got pretty wild in the city center when these rival fans clashed before a League Cup Final. It was a real mess, with supporters brawling in the streets, and even a charity event had to be canceled because of the chaos.

Police Scotland has already released photos of 19 people they want to talk to about the Cup Final mayhem. They’re making it clear that they’re ready to step in if any trouble kicks off again today. Celtic is currently leading the league, so tensions are high.

Chief Superintendent Phil Davison reassured everyone that a solid plan is in place to keep the peace. He emphasized that any kind of violence or weapon use won’t be tolerated. They’re working closely with both clubs to ensure safety for everyone involved.

Last month’s incidents were serious, with a police officer injured and a man needing hospital treatment after being attacked. There was even a firework launched inside a pub during a confrontation between fans. It’s all been caught on CCTV, showing just how out of hand things got.

Police are asking anyone with info about the previous violence or the individuals they’re looking for to come forward. You can reach out to them directly or contact Crimestoppers if you want to stay anonymous.
