Police found illegal scrambler bikes and e-scooters in a Warrington home during a raid, raising concerns about dangerous driving in the area
When they searched the place, they found 13 illegal bikes and e-scooters scattered everywhere—living room, bedrooms, hallways, and even a garden shed. Oh, and they also found some cannabis in one of the bedrooms. No arrests were made right away, but the next day, they hit another address in Old Hall and found eight more bikes.
After these raids, the police are stepping up their presence in Warrington. They want to deter unsafe driving and catch those who keep causing trouble. This is all part of Cheshire Police’s Operation HardHit, which aims to tackle the issues residents have been raising about dangerous driving.
Police Constable Matthew Salmon mentioned that they’re taking this seriously. The operation is a response to local concerns about the reckless use of off-road bikes in pedestrian areas. He reassured everyone that they’re committed to addressing this problem and will be increasing patrols to tackle anti-social behavior linked to illegal drug use.
So far, they’ve seized over 40 illegal bikes under this operation, and they’re not stopping anytime soon. The police will keep patrolling the hotspots to ensure the safety of everyone in Warrington. It’s all about keeping the community safe and making sure people can go about their day without worrying about reckless drivers.
