A multi-vehicle crash on the A68 Tow Law left several drivers hospitalized with minor injuries, prompting road closures for recovery efforts
Tow Law: On Sunday, January 5, there was quite a scene on the A68. A crash involving five vehicles happened around 4:40 PM, and it brought out police and emergency services.
Several drivers ended up in the hospital, but thankfully, their injuries were minor. It could have been a lot worse.
As of today, January 6, the road is still closed. The police say it’ll stay that way until the vehicles can be cleared, and they’re hoping for better weather soon.
A spokesperson from Durham Constabulary mentioned they got reports of the crash and confirmed the details. It’s a relief that everyone is okay.
They also advised drivers to take alternative routes while the road remains shut between West Lane junction and Butsfield Lane crossroads.
The North East Ambulance Service has been reached out to for more details, but for now, it’s all about keeping everyone safe.
