A charity reveals horrific conditions where cats were neglected and kittens used as food in a shocking cruelty case in Cornwall
St Austell: It’s just heartbreaking to hear about what happened to those poor cats. An animal charity, Clay County Cat Care, found a home where cats were left to fend for themselves. They were abandoned without food, water, or even heat. Can you imagine?
Sadly, four cats had already died, and six tiny kittens were killed to feed the older ones. It’s just sickening. The RSPCA had to step in and take away two more cats from that awful situation.
In a Facebook update, the charity shared that they managed to rescue four cats named Sully, Mikey, Alabama, and Aurora. They were living in such filthy conditions, surrounded by their own mess. It’s just so cruel to think about what they went through.
These cats were treated like cash machines, and it makes me so angry. Thankfully, they’re safe now and will get the vet care they desperately need. They deserve a chance to heal and be loved.
Later on, the charity posted that the rescued cats had some health issues, like being underweight and showing signs of cat flu. They’ll be kept in isolation until they’re better and will also get neutered. It’s a long road ahead for them, but at least they’re in good hands now.
Right now, these cats aren’t available for adoption because they need a lot of care and love to get back to being healthy. Let’s hope they find their forever homes soon!
