A burglary at Barbertown in Droitwich was caught on CCTV, showing masked men stealing a bike
Droitwich: Last night, Barbertown was hit by a burglary that left the owner, Jon Bourne, in shock. CCTV footage shows two masked men breaking in, one of them wielding a brick.
The video captures a second guy kicking and shoving the glass door until it breaks. He then crawls through the shattered panel and grabs a Raleigh Chopper bike before they both flee.
This all went down around 6:50 PM, and Jon described the whole thing as devastating. He’s reported it to West Mercia Police, hoping for some help.
Barbertown has been a local favorite since it opened in March 2009, and they even have another shop called “The Club” that opened in 2012.
Jon has shared the footage with the Worcester News, hoping someone might recognize the burglars. He’s really eager to get that bike back.
In a Facebook post, he expressed his heartbreak over the break-in, detailing how the thieves smashed the front door window to grab the bike.
He mentioned that a few witnesses have stepped forward to help the police, and they’ve got some solid CCTV footage from both his shop and nearby stores.
Jon described the bike as a classic and very distinctive, and he’s offering a reward for its safe return. If anyone has any info, he’s urging them to reach out.
West Mercia Police have been contacted for a comment on the situation.
