Milford Haven: A father named Jason Church got himself into serious trouble after downloading a manual that detailed how to exploit children. This manual was pretty disturbing, giving step-by-step advice on how to find and groom kids as young as two.
During the court hearing, it was revealed that Church had over 390,000 images and videos of child abuse on his devices. Can you believe that? The judge said he posed a real risk to children, which is just heartbreaking.
On August 23, 2023, police raided his home after getting a tip-off about the indecent images. When they arrived, Church admitted right away that they’d find what they were looking for on his phone. Talk about a shocking moment for his family!
After checking his Samsung phone, they found a ton of indecent images, including some really horrific stuff. The prosecutor mentioned that some of the images showed the attempted rape of a baby, which is just beyond comprehension.
They also found this 170-page book on his phone called “How to Practice Child Love.” It was filled with awful advice on how to groom kids. The book even suggested getting a pet to attract children, which is just sickening.
During his police interview, Church admitted to downloading the indecent images. He had no prior convictions, but his actions were just inexcusable. His lawyer mentioned that he had been struggling with depression and had sought help, but that doesn’t excuse what he did.
The judge made it clear that viewing such material is a horrific experience for anyone, and Church’s behavior was driven by a disturbing obsession. He was sentenced to 22 months in prison, with half of that time to be served in custody.
After his release, Church will be on the sex offender registry for ten years and will have to follow strict rules to prevent him from reoffending. It’s a tough situation, but at least he’s facing consequences for his actions.
