Truro: So, there’s this soldier named Jonathan Bates who just got five years in jail for some seriously messed up stuff. He was posting fake profiles of women on sex websites, and it’s just wild how he went about it.

Bates was stationed at RAF St Mawgan and apparently got a kick out of controlling and humiliating women. He stalked four women over five years, using their personal photos and info to create these fake profiles. Can you believe that?

One of the women was his ex-wife, and two were teachers he had worked with. The last one was someone he met just once at a funeral. It’s like he had no boundaries at all.

The judge, Simon Carr, said this was the worst case of its kind he’d seen. Bates really enjoyed terrorizing these women and ruining their lives. He even made fake profiles with their photos on nude bodies doing explicit things. Just disgusting.

The victims were left completely devastated. Some had to change jobs, while others were too scared to leave their homes. One even changed her appearance to avoid being recognized. It’s heartbreaking.

Bates stalked one woman for two years, suggesting that someone else might be behind her stalking. But when she reached out to the other victims, it all pointed back to him. Talk about a coward!

He also had a stash of USBs filled with porn images of women. When his wife confronted him, he tried to play it off like his computer was hacked. But she found those USBs, and it was game over for him.

In the end, the judge sentenced him to five years and slapped him with a 10-year restraining order. The prosecutor pointed out how the internet makes it hard to erase those fake profiles, which is just sad.

Even though Bates claimed he had PTSD from his time in service, it didn’t excuse his actions. He admitted to stalking and revenge porn charges, and now he’s facing the consequences.
