London: Omar Al Fayed, the son of the late businessman Mohamed Al Fayed, has some strong feelings about his father’s past. He thinks his dad should have been prosecuted for alleged sexual abuse, comparing the situation to that of a Nazi general. That’s pretty intense, right?

Omar shared with The Mail on Sunday that he wishes the police investigations could have happened while his father was still alive. Since the news has resurfaced, around 90 people have come forward claiming they were victims of Al Fayed, who passed away in 2023. That’s a staggering number!

Among these new claims, the youngest alleged victim was just 13 at the time of the reported abuse, with serious accusations like rape and sexual assault coming to light. Omar feels there was a missed chance back in 2017 when his father was 90, and the police were looking into these allegations.

He mentioned that if a Nazi general had been hiding out for decades, he should definitely be tried. Omar also admitted he got “dirty old man vibes” from his father and was aware of the call girls. Now, he feels a bit relieved that these allegations are finally being discussed.

There were attempts to bring charges against Al Fayed in the past, but they didn’t go anywhere. Omar believes that people around his father helped him dodge serious scrutiny by claiming he was mentally incapacitated. Yet, he insists that when it came to business, his father was still sharp.

Recently, the Metropolitan Police announced they’re looking into several individuals who may have helped facilitate Al Fayed’s alleged crimes. Omar expressed sadness that the victims couldn’t confront these issues sooner, which might have given them some closure.

He also pointed out that his father represented deeper societal problems, like racism and homophobia, and emphasized the importance of addressing these issues as a community.
