Southeastern trains will face cancellations this Sunday due to engineering works affecting multiple routes
Swanley: This Sunday, some Southeastern trains are getting cancelled because of engineering work. It’s just for one day, so don’t worry about the whole weekend.
On January 5, all lines between Swanley and Sevenoaks will be closed. If you’re traveling from London Victoria to Ashford International, you’ll only be able to go between Borough Green & Wrotham and Ashford International.
Replacement buses will be available between Swanley and Borough Green & Wrotham, stopping at Otford. So, if you need to get around, those buses should help.
Now, if you’re in the Lewisham and Dartford area, there’s also some work happening. All lines in the Hither Green area will be closed, meaning no trains will run from London Charing Cross to Sevenoaks, Dartford, or Gravesend.
But don’t fret! There will be extra trains running between London Bridge and Gravesend via Greenwich. Plus, replacement buses will be available between Greenwich and Dartford, making stops at New Cross and all stations to Dartford.
And if you’re near London Bridge, there’s more engineering work going on. No trains will be running to and from London Charing Cross, London Waterloo East, or London Cannon Street.
Trains that usually go to Ramsgate and Dover Priory will be diverted to London Victoria instead. So, if you’re heading that way, just keep that in mind.
For those traveling to Canterbury West, Deal, and Ramsgate, there’s also some disruption. Trains from London Charing Cross to Ramsgate will only run between London Victoria and Canterbury West.
Replacement buses will be running between Canterbury West and Margate, as well as between Deal and Ramsgate. So, plan ahead and check your routes!
