Dunfermline’s roadworks are causing Stagecoach bus diversions affecting multiple services
Dunfermline: So, Stagecoach is rerouting some buses because of roadworks on James Street and Izatt Avenue. They’ve got some duct laying going on, which means a temporary road closure from 9pm to 6am.
A bunch of buses usually stop at James Street, right behind the Kingsgate Shopping Centre. But with the closure, Stagecoach is diverting services through East Port to get to Dunfermline Bus Station.
They’re asking passengers to hop on at the bus stops on New Row or inside the bus station during this time. It’s a bit of a hassle, but they’re trying to keep things moving.
There’s also some resurfacing work happening at Izatt Avenue from 8am to 5pm, which is affecting buses going to Dunfermline High School. The 84 service will take a different route, going via St Leonards Place and a few other streets before getting back on track.
These works are being done by Openreach and Fife Council, and they’re expected to wrap up by Friday. So, hang in there, Dunfermline! Things should be back to normal soon.
