Stratford: November was quite a month for this charming town. First off, a survey declared Stratford the happiest place to live in the UK. Can you believe it? It beat out Harrogate and Whitley Bay. The ranking looked at things like beautiful parks, good schools, and affordable homes. Pretty cool, right?

But not everything was sunshine and rainbows. Wilfred’s, a beloved sweet shop that’s been around for 14 years, is closing its doors. The lease is up, and the owners aren’t renewing it. It’s a bummer because they had an amazing selection of sweets, and everyone loved popping in for a treat.

Then there was this wild story about a stolen narrowboat. Thieves tried to disguise it by painting it white, thinking they could fool the police. But it didn’t work! The Warwickshire Police got involved, and thanks to some community help, they found the boat. The owners were heartbroken when it went missing, but they’re relieved to have it back.

On a different note, villagers were not happy with some fox hunters. A pack of hounds ran through their gardens, and folks were worried about their pets. They called the hunters “irresponsible” for letting the dogs loose. It’s a bit of a mess, and people are hoping for an apology.

Lastly, some exciting news! The Right Rev Sophie Jelley has been named the new Bishop of Coventry, making history as the first woman in the role. She’s thrilled about the opportunity and can’t wait to connect with the community. She’ll start her new position in the spring, and it sounds like she’s ready to make a positive impact.
