A teenager in Delhi has been arrested for sending fake bomb threats to schools to avoid exams
Delhi: So, there’s this wild story about a teenager who got himself into serious trouble. He was arrested for sending fake bomb threats to schools just to dodge his exams.
This kid, a 12th grader at a private school, thought he could get away with it. Just a day before his exams, 16 schools received these alarming emails. Talk about a bad plan!
The police are saying they’ve got solid evidence linking him to a group that’s been pulling this stunt for months. They’re also looking into whether other students were involved.
Apparently, he sent out bomb threat emails at least six times, but he was smart enough to avoid his own school. He even tagged other schools to throw off suspicion. Crazy, right?
His whole idea was to disrupt the exams, thinking that if he caused enough panic, they’d get canceled. In one go, he even sent a threat to 23 schools!
The emails were pretty intense, warning about “massive and highly dangerous explosives” and demanding a hefty ransom to defuse them. Can you believe that?
Because of these hoaxes, students were sent home, and the police had to bring in a bomb squad with sniffer dogs to check everything out.
The first school to get hit was Tagore International School, and it all kicked off around 11:17 AM. Other big names like Bluebells School and Delhi Public School also got caught up in the chaos.
Thanks to some tech wizardry, the police tracked him down and brought him in for questioning. He eventually confessed that he was behind the emails along with some friends.
He used Gmail to send out these threats, which is just mind-boggling. What a way to try and skip school!
