An 18-year-old faces court for the tragic stabbing of three young girls in a dance class incident
Southport: So, there’s this really tragic story coming out of Southport. An 18-year-old named Axel Rudakubana is in big trouble for allegedly stabbing three little girls during a dance class themed around Taylor Swift. It’s just heartbreaking.
The girls, aged nine, six, and seven, were at The Hart Space when the incident happened on July 29. Can you believe that? Such a fun setting turned into a nightmare.
Axel is set to appear in Liverpool Crown Court via video link for a hearing. He’s facing some serious charges, including murder and attempted murder of eight other kids, plus a couple of other wild charges like possession of a knife and even something about a biological toxin.
He was last in court back in November, and they pushed the hearing to this week. They’ve got a trial date lined up for January 20, and it sounds like it could take four to six weeks. Just a really sad situation all around.
