An 18-year-old student is in critical condition following a stabbing near a Woolwich school
Woolwich: An 18-year-old student is in serious trouble after being stabbed near his school on Monday. It’s a shocking situation that has everyone on edge.
Police got the call around 4:20 PM about the attack on Prince Imperial Road. When they arrived, they found the Year 12 student with some pretty serious stab wounds.
They rushed him to the hospital, but he’s still in critical condition. The area is all taped off as police investigate what happened.
The principal of Shooters Hill Sixth Form confirmed that the victim was one of their students. He told other students to stay home on Tuesday, which is probably for the best.
Geoff Osborne, the principal, mentioned that the young man was attacked close to the college. He said they can’t share too many details right now but that the student is getting medical care.
Mr. Osborne also said the college is providing support and counseling for anyone affected by this awful incident. They’re thinking of the victim’s family and asking for privacy during this tough time.
Parents were notified that the school would be closed temporarily, which is understandable given the circumstances.
So far, no arrests have been made, and police are asking anyone with information to reach out to them. It’s been a rough start to the year in London, with knife crime on the rise.
Just recently, another teenager was left fighting for his life after a stabbing on New Year’s Day. It’s a worrying trend that needs to be addressed.
Let’s hope for the best for the victim and that the police can get to the bottom of this soon.
