Tameside: A 17-year-old boy is in the hospital after being stabbed. It happened at a Tesco Express on Oldham Road in Ashton-under-Lyne. Police got the call about the incident and rushed to the scene.
The boy was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. So far, no one has been arrested. Greater Manchester Police are on it, sending more officers to the area while they investigate.
Detectives are asking anyone who saw anything or has info to come forward. As night fell, images showed officers working inside the store.
According to the police, they received reports of the stabbing around 6 PM. Emergency services were quick to respond, and the boy was taken to the hospital.
Detective Sergeant Steve Carroll mentioned that they’re still in the early stages of the investigation. They’re looking into what happened leading up to the stabbing.
He also encouraged anyone with concerns or information, no matter how small, to talk to the officers in the area or reach out to the police directly.
