Ilkeston: A tragic incident unfolded when a 15-year-old girl and six others were arrested after a teenager was stabbed to death. It all happened on Saturday night in Derbyshire.
Police got a call around 8:20 PM about a stabbing on Rose Avenue. When they arrived, they found an 18-year-old guy on the road with a stab wound. Sadly, he was pronounced dead shortly after.
The victim’s family has been informed and is getting support from specially-trained officers. It’s a tough time for them, and our hearts go out to them.
Four boys, all 17 years old, were arrested on suspicion of murder. Along with them, a 52-year-old man, a 15-year-old girl, and a 16-year-old girl were also taken in for allegedly helping an offender.
The East Midlands special operations unit is leading the murder investigation. They’ve cordoned off the area to gather evidence.
Police are asking anyone with CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from around 7 PM to 9 PM in the vicinity to come forward. Every little bit helps.
