Belfast: Buck Alec Robinson is a name that many in the city remember. He was quite the character, known for his pet lion and his street-fighting days. Some even say he had ties to Al Capone, which adds to his wild reputation.
But there’s more to Buck Alec than just being a quirky figure. He was also involved in some dark stuff as a member of the Ulster Special Constabulary’s ‘C’ Specials. This group was formed back in 1920, mainly made up of former soldiers and volunteers who were called upon for protection by unionists.
