London: Navigating the Tube can be a real head-scratcher, even for those who live here. If you’re a tourist, it’s probably a total maze.

There are some quirky names and oddities that can trip you up. Like, why is there no circus at Piccadilly Circus? And Bond Street station isn’t even on Bond Street!

Canary Wharf is a busy spot, but it’s not a tourist hotspot. Still, if you find yourself there, good luck! There are three stations all named Canary Wharf.

Before 2022, there were just two, but then the Elizabeth line popped up and decided to join the party with the same name. So now, you’ve got the DLR and the Jubilee line all in the mix.

And it doesn’t stop there! Nearby, you’ve got West India Quay and Heron Quays, plus South Quay and Westferry just a short walk away. It’s a bit of a mess!

But Canary Wharf isn’t the only confusing spot in London. Paddington has two stations too, with different lines split between them. Hammersmith is similar, with one station for the Circle and Hammersmith and City lines, and another for the District and Piccadilly lines.
