The National introduces a monthly newsletter to share uplifting stories from Scotland, celebrating positivity amidst challenging times
Edinburgh: You know how the news can sometimes feel like a downer? I totally get it. It’s like every headline is a reminder of all the chaos around us.
From the heartbreaking events overseas to the struggles we face here, like the cost-of-living crisis and climate issues, it can be tough to find a silver lining.
Sure, the media has a job to do. We need to keep an eye on those in power and ask the tough questions. But let’s not forget about the good stuff happening too.
That’s why The National is launching a new monthly newsletter called Good News Scotland. It’s all about shining a light on the positive things happening in our beautiful country.
Every first Monday of the month, I’ll be sharing a roundup of the previous month’s feel-good stories. Think inspiring people making a difference or sports victories that lift our spirits.
We’ll also highlight areas where Scotland is leading the way, like our clean energy initiatives and cultural achievements. And who knows, we might even give a nod to politicians when they do something right!
So, if you’re interested, subscribe below! The first newsletter will hit your inbox soon, on Monday, January 6, featuring our reporters’ top picks for the best positive news stories of 2024.
