A serious crash on the M60 left three injured and a car ablaze, prompting emergency services to respond quickly to the scene
Oldham: A car caught fire after a terrible crash on the M60, leaving three people needing medical help. It all went down just before 8 PM on a Friday night.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on the clockwise side of the motorway. They found three cars involved in a collision between junctions 22 and 23. It was quite a sight!
Pictures from the scene showed one car fully engulfed in flames. Another vehicle had smashed into the central barrier, and a third was facing the wrong way, looking pretty wrecked.
The firefighters were quick to put out the fire. The three injured folks were taken care of by the North West Ambulance Service. Thankfully, their exact conditions are still being assessed.
Traffic on the motorway is expected to be a mess for a while, with diversions set up. The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service sent three fire engines to handle the situation.
They worked alongside the police to ensure everything was safe before leaving the scene about 45 minutes later. It’s a reminder to drive carefully out there!
