Three teens have been arrested following the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old boy near a bus station in Bedford
Bedford: It’s really tragic what happened. A 17-year-old boy named Thomas Taylor was fatally stabbed near a bus station. This all went down on Wednesday evening.
Witnesses say he was attacked by a group of guys while walking along Greenhill Street. Sadly, he didn’t make it after being rushed to the hospital.
Police have arrested three teenagers—two 18-year-olds and a 17-year-old—on Friday. There’s also a man in his 60s who was arrested for allegedly helping the offenders.
Thomas’s headteacher, Chris Deller, spoke about him, saying he was a well-liked student who had done well in his exams. It’s heartbreaking for the school community.
Chris mentioned how upset everyone is and that they’re focusing on supporting Thomas’s family during this tough time. It’s just so sad to see a young life lost like this.
Detective Inspector Richard Stott is leading the investigation. He called the incident shocking and emphasized the seriousness of knife crime and youth violence.
He reassured the community that police are on it, following every lead and increasing patrols in the area. It’s a tough situation for everyone involved.
