Three teens have been arrested following the tragic stabbing of a 17-year-old near a bus station in Bedford
Bedford: So, there’s been a really sad incident in Bedford. A 17-year-old boy named Thomas Taylor was stabbed near a bus station. It happened around 5:50 PM on Wednesday while he was walking along Greenhill Street.
Unfortunately, he was rushed to the hospital but didn’t make it. It’s just heartbreaking. The police have arrested three teenagers—a 17-year-old and two 18-year-olds—on suspicion of murder. They’re currently being questioned.
Before that, a man in his 60s was also arrested for allegedly helping the offenders but has since been released on bail. It’s all pretty shocking, and the police are really trying to get to the bottom of it.
Detective Inspector Richard Stott is leading the investigation. He mentioned how tragic it is that a young life was lost to knife crime and serious youth violence. The police are stepping up patrols in the area to reassure the community.
They’re also asking anyone who might have seen anything or knows something about the incident to come forward. If you have any info, you can reach out to the police and mention Operation Cimarron.
