A person has died following a medical emergency at Sunderland Greyhound Stadium
Sunderland: On Sunday, emergency services rushed to Sunderland Greyhound Stadium around 12:20 PM after reports of a medical incident. It was a serious situation, and they were on it quickly.
Police, ambulances, and even an air ambulance showed up. Paramedics worked hard to help the patient, but sadly, the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson from Northumbria Police mentioned that despite everyone’s efforts, it was too late. They also confirmed there’s no indication of foul play, and a report will be sent to the coroner.
The North East Ambulance Service got the call just before 12:20 PM. They dispatched two ambulance crews and called in support from the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
The air ambulance team arrived shortly after and worked with the local paramedics to assess the situation. It’s a tragic event, and our thoughts are with everyone affected.
