A head-on collision in Preston has left two teenagers dead and three others critically injured as families mourn this tragic start to the year
The accident happened around 1:20 AM on New Year’s Day. A grey Volkswagen Golf collided head-on with a Vauxhall Grandland. The impact was severe.
Sadly, a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man in the Golf died from their injuries. Two other passengers, a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy, are fighting for their lives in the hospital.
The driver of the Golf only had minor injuries, but the woman driving the Grandland suffered a serious arm injury. Two of her passengers also had minor injuries.
A 62-year-old man in the Grandland is in critical condition as well. It’s just a tragic situation all around.
