Two men were arrested in connection with the murder of a 72-year-old man following a burglary in Keynsham, Somerset
Keynsham: So, here’s the scoop. Two guys got arrested for murder after a 72-year-old man passed away in the hospital. This all started when his home was broken into about a month ago.
The victim, Stephen Ridgeway, opened his door one night and was met by two men who barged in. They assaulted him and made off with some stuff, like alcohol and phones.
Emergency services showed up around 3 AM, and he was taken to the hospital. Sadly, his condition got worse, and he died on December 7.
Fast forward to January 7, and the police arrested a man in his thirties and another in his forties on suspicion of murder. They were questioned but released the next day, and the investigation is still ongoing.
Avon and Somerset Police are looking into it, and they found that the injuries Stephen suffered played a role in his death. They’re asking anyone with info or dashcam footage to step forward.
