Luton: So, it turns out two guys are in hot water for making and selling fake Covid-19 vaccination records. Can you believe it? Waqas Hanif, 26, and Touqir Nasir, 29, are set to face the music in court soon.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) is on this case, and they found nearly 2,000 fake records at a health center in Luton. That’s a lot of dodgy paperwork! They even seized a whopping £145,000 in cash from a safety deposit box. Talk about a big bust!

Apparently, during the pandemic, some folks who didn’t get vaccinated were paying for these fake vaccine passports online. It’s wild to think people were trying to sneak around the rules just to travel.

Paul Foster from the NCA said it’s all about keeping the public safe. He made it clear that while getting vaccinated is a personal choice, using the healthcare system to cheat the system is a big no-no.

Hanif was nabbed by the NCA back in January 2022, while Nasir came in for a chat a couple of months later. Both are facing some serious charges, including conspiracy and fraud. Hanif’s also in trouble for possessing criminal property. Yikes!
