Two individuals face serious charges after a shooting left a man injured in Hartlepool
Hartlepool: Emergency services rushed to Garside Drive after a man in his thirties was found with serious injuries from a suspected shooting.
He was quickly taken to the hospital, while investigators in white suits were seen examining the area behind a police cordon.
Initially, Cleveland Police arrested seven people, including five men and two women, all in connection with the incident.
Now, the police have confirmed that two of those arrested have been charged.
Luis Nazare Fonseca, just 20 years old, faces multiple charges, including attempted murder and possession of firearms.
Derem Turner, 19, has also been charged with attempted murder.
Both are now in custody and are set to appear at Teesside Crown Court soon.
Meanwhile, the other individuals arrested on suspicion of helping an offender have been released on bail as investigations continue.
At the time of the incident, police set up a cordon around several properties and increased their presence in the area.
As for the injured man, his current condition remains unknown.
